ATR - Day 7 or "and you thought your husband couldn't cook"

I had my first check up with my Orthopedic surgeon today, who by the way I'm extremely happy with and she gave me some great (unexpected) news! She told me that I could have my cast taken off next week! Hallelujah! Having stayed up late last night reading ATR blogs, I was sure that I had at least another month imprisoned in this shell. However, I was given the prescription to pick up my CAM walker and made an appointment for next Wednesday for the change over.

I'm not completely off the hook, because I'm still ordered to be zero weight bearing for another month at least, so I'll be on crutches for the foreseeable future. I'm getting much better at getting around and can now successfully hop downstairs, holding the stair rail and one crutch. It's harder getting upstairs, but I can hop up now on 2 crutches - it's a little more comely than pulling myself up on my behind!

At least I feel better than this poor little Kitty - Image found on the internet.

So to celebrate the good news, Rick took me out to lunch to my favorite Dim Sum restaurant - China Pearl in Woburn. It was sooo good. Then to prove what an excellent husband I have, he made this beautiful dinner for me. The egg is a perfect sunny side up and you thought your husband couldn't cook! Shame on you....
