ATR - Day 18

Spring has finally arrived in New England and the bulbs are blooming, trees are blossoming and the azaleas are budding (lots of b's). It's a lovely time of year here, but unfortunately doesn't last very long. For example, the temperature yesterday rose into the 80's and was hideously humid - thank goodness for air conditioning!

Here is a picture of Loca sleeping on my leg. Sooo cute!

I can't believe that it will be 3 weeks tomorrow since I ruptured my AT! I think I'm progressing well, I can actually take a shower by myself and can cook dinner for my family. I'm still working on my book (Breaking Dawn) and am determined to finish it despite the fantastic story line. However, I've placed requests at the library for the latest new books of Elizabeth George (Body of Death), Philippa Gregory (White Queen) and Helen Simonson (Major Pettigrew's last stand).

I went out to lunch today with a few friends of mine (picked up by Mary - thanks again!) and she recommended the Simonson book. After reading the review on Amazon, I can't wait to get my hands on it, sounds hilarious!

I realized today that it's times like this when all your friends come to the front and you see how lucky you are. I've also had lots of get well wishes from my co-workers at Gourmet Caterers - it's nice to know that you are missed and appreciated. Thanks everyone for raising my spirits!
