I've had time to experiment with my blog layout, I hope you like the new look! Well, It's a beautiful day today, sunny and warm and coming to the end of another week on my crutches. My front garden looks really pretty and the Japanese Maple tree is at it's peak - take a look...
I finally finished the Vampire book "Breaking Dawn" and have to admit that I quite enjoyed it! I can't imagine how she came up with the idea (I won't spoil the story), but it was very imaginative... I'm still waiting for my Elizabeth George book (my favorite mystery writer), so I've started Ken Follett's "Pillars of the Earth". I don't know how I missed it, he wrote it in 1989 and has great reviews. If you've read it already, I'd love to hear what you thought of it. It's a huge book, but I'm looking forward to reading it, because it's full of my fave subjects - history, church, "betrayal, love and revenge". I've just discovered that they've made a mini-series of the book, starring Ian McShane (of "Lovejoy"fame), due to be shown this summer, so I'd better hurry up and finish it.
You should know by now that I'm a big cat person, so I wanted to share this cute e-mail I received from my friend Roberta. Hope you love it too.
